Meryl O’Rourke
Meryl O’Rourke is a acclaimed stand-up comic and TV writer. She has delighted comedy audiences, written some of the best gags on telly and even hosted pop concerts . Meryl is also regular tour support for Frankie Boyle and has supported him since 2010 at the Hammersmith Apollo. Meryl is also a trained actress and got to call Frankie an “arsehole” in his Channel 4 series Tramadol Nights.
Meryl is a Sony nominated radio broadcaster, appearing as a reviewer on Radio 4 Front Row. She wrote/performed and edited a comedy series for Woman’s Hour.
Meryl has written for Have I Got News for You, 8/10 Cats and 3 series of Mock the Week. A close collaborator with Frankie Boyle, she has written for all 3 episodes of Autopsy, all series of New World Order, and Frankie Goes To Russia.
