So Who’s Performing in January?

As show line-ups go, we have to admit that the line-up for our Dry January Special on Sunday 28th January at 3.30pm really is something rather special!

We believe if you are parting with your hard earned cash, you deserve the comedians to be at least funny ? Unfortunately, some events nowadays branded as comedy nights or comedy shows can confuse people…as they do not use funny or professional acts.. and still charge a lot of money…Not fair right?

Here at Sober IS Fun and The London Alcohol-Free Comedy Club you are GUARANTEED a very funny afternoon out, as we only use the Best Top Comedians in our sober event shows. Many of our acts have appeared on TV, and the Dry January show is no exception……

Our host for the afternoon at this London sober event is Sally-Anne Hayward. At this time Sally has been supporting Millican on her UK and international tour. Sally appeared in one of our very first sober shows back in 2019 in Essex, and has been a keen supporter of Sober IS Fun. Sally has also appeared on numerous TV shows, which includes of course Absolutely Fabulous, and is now a Comedy Store regular . We know that this Dry January Sober Show in London will be in extremely safe funny hands!

We also welcome back one of our good friends and top comedians Stefano Paolini. You may have seen Stefano back in 2022, when he appeared on Britian’s Got Talent and reached the semi-finals. Stefano is a sure fire hit every time, mixing quality stand- up and beat boxing! Next up we welcome a comedian that went down so well back in 2022 at The London Alcohol-Free Comedy Club, we know we just had to get her back! And that comedian is Cally Beaton. Shortly after appearing at The London Alcohol-Free Comedy Club Cally appeared on none other than Live at the Apollo! You may also recognise Cally from QI on TV. Get ready to really Sober Laugh Out Loud at this sober event in London!

Then to close our show we welcome to The London Alcohol – Free Comedy Club stage a stand-up sober legend, and one of our favourite comedians…Mike Gunn ! Mike will not mind us telling you that he is actually over 30 years sober! (Also if the truth is known, our founder Martyn Davies gained inspiration from Mike for his own sober journey 😊 ) Mikes face may well be very familiar from appearing on TV numerous times, which includes Michael McIntyres Comedy Road Show & Live at the Apollo . Over the past couple of years Mike has supported the likes of Lee Mack on his national tour. Mike has a rare ability to walk close to the line of what audiences find acceptable and yet still remain likeable and funny…
