So Who’s Performing?
We have another very special line-up of Top Comedians joining us for our May Bank Holiday Special on Sunday 5th May 3.30pm at BackYard Comedy Club! We only use the Best Professional Comedians in our Alcohol-Free Shows, which makes for a very funny afternoon out at London & UK’s Only Professional Alcohol-Free Comedy Club. Our show’s make for the perfect sober social in London, with the added bonus of the large pre-show meet up space in the main bar area before showtime.
Joining us on the afternoon as our host MC at this London Sober Social we welcome Rich Wilson. Rich has been voted by top comedians such as Frank Skinner & Sarah Millican as one of the UK’s best MC’s. Rich wins over audiences over in seconds, and has performed at all the major UK Comedy Clubs. Wilson has performed shows at all the Worlds top comedy festivals to include Edinburgh Fringe, Perth Fringe, Melbourne International and is a firm favourite at the New Zealand Comedy Festival. Most recently Rich’s comedy special ‘You Could Have it so Much Better’ is now available to watch on NETFLIX & Amazon Prime. We know 100% our show at this Top London Sober Event will be in very safe hands. Rich is also the host of the popular Men’s Mental Health award winning podcast ‘Insane In the Men Brain.
We then welcome back a comedian that will be a familiar face, after appearing on Britain’s Got Talent and reaching the semi-finals . El Baldhinio joined us back in 2022 at our Dry January Special and absolutely brought the house down with his extremely daft & silly prop-based humour! You really need to witness this performance for yourself… No wonder El is now a much in demand as a top stand-up on the UK comedy circuit.
Next up we welcome to the stage comedian Meryl O Rouke. Meryl is the regular tour support for Frankie Boyle, and has been since 2010 , and has also appeared on Boyles Channel 4 series Tramadol Nights. Meryl’s comedy has appeared on 8 out of 10 Cats, Have I Got News For You and series three of Mock the Week. The sound of Sober Laughing Out Loud will definitely be ringing round the venue after Meryl has taken to the stage at The London Alcohol-Free Comedy Club !
Joining us for the very first time, we then welcome one of our favourite comedians, and we are so lucky to have him join us. Slim will take to the stage as our headline act to close the afternoon at this London sober social. Slim is one of the UK’s biggest stand-up stars and the undisputed king of the Black British Circuit. His 20 year multi award winning career has seen him support the likes of huge US acts including Dave Chappelle & Kevin Hart. Slims popular style of comedy is generous, smart and bursting with infectious energy . Most recently SLIM appeared on Live at the Apollo and has sold out the Hackney Empire. You really do not want to miss this!
